K; Insure there is absolutely no bubbles in the coolant tank. It should be filled all the way. If not you have a problem. Next make sure you have a 50/50 antifreeze/H2O mix. Any large deviation from this ratio and the sensor could get confused. Next follow the sensor wires and clean any connectors you encounter along the way. After that you could replace the sensor. I have heard of common problems with these, mostly cracks in the body.
