Hi John, nice to hear your new engine is working out, about 2 months ago I had a conversation with Dominique Cormann <kozmik@home.com> he was very knowledgable about oils and our discussion was about using the high quality diesel oils for gas engines. He has a website which describes virtually every statistic on oil and can discuss the natural processed oils which are now available to meet the synthetic performance at much less cost. One of these oils is a pennzoil 15-40 Diesel oil. These oils are high detergent and have high corrosion inhibitors for heavily loaded engines and are safe for gas engines. I'm sure he'd be glad to discuss this with you.
