O.K., there was a lot more interest than I thought there would be so here it goes out to the list. This is what is wrong with the 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Syncro:

1. Fourth gear is out 2. Left (drivers side) cylinder head leaks BADLY 3. Power steering leaks 4. Rust in the seams 5. Parking brake cable, right side, needs to be replaced 6. Air conditioner doesn't work 7. Front heater fan works only on high 8. Front brakes need to be replaced 9. Rear heater has an odor of coolant but have never found a leak

On the plus side, there are four new C rated tires with off road tread that I had put on the in September. I had planned on going back out on the island in Crystal Lake and not getting stuck this time! Also, the starter was rebuilt last year.

This is all I can think of right now.

Hope this helps.
