I have an '86 Syncro GL with the weekender pkg. and a huge factory sunroof. I have often contemplated putting a poptop on because I would not have to do any cutting. So far the only thing stopping me is my kids who love the sunroof. On the 4th of July we park the Syncro, overlooking Salt Lake City and the whole family climbs on the roof and we watch the fireworks all over the valley. It is always a blast to watch peoples faces as the family disgorges itself through the sunroof. But alas I am going to be selling my syncro this summer once I get a good trans back in it.
