Martin- I am in the process of procuring all the parts necessary to put a TDI into the back of my vanagon. One thing I have been stuck on is the new exhaust system. You used to have details on your website about the exhaust system you used with you 1.9 TD conversion, but I cannot seem to find these anymore. Can you help me with a couple questions?

http://www.cs.jhu.edu/~jager/vw/engine/Diesel1_9swap/

You need to bookmark that separately since I haven't linked it yet.

How did you mount the muffler you used?

Se pic's

Is your exhaust system welded together or does it incorporate flanges and flex joints to join

Slip joints and standard parts as mentioned in the previous postings you refer to.

the SS tubes you bought (I hope I am remembering the discussion about your stainless steel pipes correctly)?

Dynomax never made good on the SS parts, and I finally gave up after lots of phone calling, letters and wasted time. Ended up using the aluminized stuff they sent me under pretense of being SS.

Do you have any vibration problems from either your exhaust system or from the stronger 1.9TD?

Used stock rubber pads to mount the muffler. No vibration from exhaust. Stock motormounts are marginal, but I don't have anything better.
