I certainly agree with Bob, who is the real expert. I personally would not do anything but a complete rebuild after about 150,000 miles if the heads started leaking. Between 100,000 and 150,000 it is a judgment call, and with a rebuilt engine for $2000 as opposed to head replacement only for $1000 or so, you can decide where the economic crossover point is for you.
