Gary; Sounds good. I would spring for the main bearings for sure and maybe the hydraulic lifters if I can find a good deal on them. AVP had them cheap enough that I couldn't pass them up(they may have been rebuilt?). They also had a good deal on rebuilt cam shafts. The oil pump is pretty important and not too $$. Also a new German water pump would be good insurance. I have heard re-shaping the big ends is a good idea and you should use the rod bolts from the 1.9L. Let me know how it goes.
