This kind of job is only for a vehicle that is a true collectible.  There is
all kinds of hidden damage.  Full restoration of this Vanagon does not make
economic sense.  This is not a Bondo job.  Drive it until it falls apart,
then part it out.

I'm tackling the rust on my 80 Westy.  The link below has three pictures
I took yesterday of the rustiest spots.  If you have any advice on
bodywork and rust removal, please have a look see and maybe help a
novice get started on restoring his dream barge.  :)
