Jay, the thing with the reman motor is that by the time you buy all of the parts to do this rebuild and send the engine out to be cleaned, etc, the price difference between a rebuilt engine and a DIY rebuild is only a few hundred dollars. You can get a rebuilt motor from Boston Engine for around $2000. All of the parts to do a good rebuild (with new pistons and cylinders, and new heads) will run you around $1600. For that extra $400 you get a warranty and the knowledge that the guy that rebuilt it has been doing this for 20 years and knows tricks that you don't.

Of course if you still want to go the do it yourself way let me know and I'll get you a price list of all the parts needed.

I would love to sell you all the parts but I would rather save you some time and pain. I get no money from Bob for telling folks to go to him for rebuilds, just the satisfaction of pointing them in the right direction.
