I did check with Camelback VW in Phoenix like you suggested: #321 419 661A horn contact, my Albuquerque dealer $18 vs Camelback $11.88;#251 953 519c wiper/turnsignal stalk assembly, Albuquerque $80 vs Camelback $61.95. Shipping was reasonable too. For those of you who may have non functioning horns like me, it appears the early 80s Rabbit/Jetta parts will adapt to your Vanagon especially the small brass horn contact on the wiper/turn assembly which is all I needed. Thanks again to the List.
