Subject: Re: Wolfsburg

Okay, let me get this right. I have a '86 Wolfsburg Westfalia without the kitchen unit. In its place I have the pop up table and 1 rear facing seat with storage underneath. I have a removable AC/DC fridge behind the passenger seat. I also have Air, the trim package, the nice cup holders, aux battery, and the power/heated mirrors.

I have done a lot of camping with this vehicle. The biggest plus is the table and rear facing seat. I have conducted business at this table. The rear seat is also a foot longer. I have curled up on it for an hours sleep at a rest stop without making the full bed. Day to day it is a better setup than the full kitchen Westy.

folks.. oficially there is no such thing as a "weekender" vanagon. there are vanagon 7 passengers with the "weekender" interior package, which JUST includes the fold-forward 2 person middle seat, and the full width sofabed. they have no poptop.

i think what you have is a '86 NON-GL base model poptop Camper... which is the wolfsburg edition. unoficially dubbed the "westy weekender" because it's not the full camper.
