Well, let me tell you what I think... :-)

1) I'm doing vanagon.com for fun, and I've deliberately avoided making it a money-raising entity. That's why there are no banner ads. That's also why the site doesn't get retrofitted periodically.

How do folks feel about ads on vanagon.com, with money going towards the site?

2) As of this summer, I'm leaving my job, and I'll have a lot more time to spend on the site. A buy/sell section is one of my top priorities, as are message boards, chat, etc. Basically, I want to do a complete redesign.

3) Hardware isn't a problem for vanagon.com. We just upgraded to a new server a few days ago, and our line seems to be fast enough.

4) I'm always looking for folks to submit information. Jim Davis maintains the excellent (and in-progress) model year summaries. If someone else wants to maintain a FAQ, I'd love to have the help. Useful articles are always accepted.
