I'll bet it is leaky injectors.  Leaks flood the engine when stopped,
and disconnecting the fuel pump and cranking evaporates enough of the
excess to start briefly.  Let it cool down and the fuel also
evaporates.  This was on the list a few weeks ago.


Many good machine shops rebuild these now for $25-$30 each with special
equipment.  That's about half of the cost of new.  Replace all your fuel
lines while you are at it if you haven't done that already!
