I don't recommend doing this to the front canvas (with the screen window).
Rolling the canvas too snugly can damage the screen. This happened to my Westy
just as the warranty expired but my VW dealer was generous enough to replace the
screen at no cost to me. Since then, I simply tuck the canvas in loosely when
lowering the pop top.
