I'm running a set of these in my '85 and while I don't remember what the part number was, I had read on the list somewhere that Bosch wasn't recommending them for use in the Vanagon. I bought and installed mine before I read this. Mine seem to run okay--no better than the single point Bosch Platinums they replaced. This may be a coincidence, but ever since I started using these my exhaust has developed a putrid smell. I just had the van tested for emissions for Metro Atlanta compliance and it passed pretty well (HC 107, CO% .75, NO-ppm 0659, CO-CO2% 14.2 all of this at 2050 RPM--i think that's the load test).
