Carpet supply places and home repair supply stores (formerly called hardware stores) sell iron-on splicing tape. Cut both pieces at the same time from the backing to ensure match. But them against each other. place the tape over the splice. Run over seam with a hot iron. Let it cool. Ruffle the nap at he seam. Boom! You're done.
