Syncronauts,

Last night while driving down the freeway, I was attempting to plug in my cell
phone and reached over to pull out the cigarette lighter and pulled out the diff
lock instead.  I immediately realized my error and attempted to push it back
in - to no avail.  It's sort of hanging there, pulled all the way out.  At no
time did it seem that the differential actually locked.  Do you suppose the
cable could be broken?  Or did I immediately crash and burn my diff lock?
