Joel,

There in an Autozone in Rochester from which you can 'borrow' all the tools you need. That is what I did when I recently replaced a front CV joint. See:

These are the tools I needed that were not in my toolkit.

wheel puller torque wrench 30mm socket special tool to tighten CV boot clamps pitman arm puller.

Before you start working, inspect your upper and lower ball joints and plan on replacing them if the rubbers are cracked or broken. I didn't and I regret it.

I replaced one joint and cleaned an repacked the other. It was quite a messy job. The CV joint grease is really greasy. I used a lot of news papers and paper towels to capture the goo. I packed them into a milk carton for disposal - I wish I knew of a better way.
