Great idea, though I wonder if it causes the wing window to whistle...

I have one of these antennas, and while they work, the range is VERY limited. (I'd say line of sight for about 1/2 mile at best). Good enough for caravaning, as long as you are not on winding mountainous roads where you don't have LOS.
