Just yesterday I received some flyers and a letter from a non-list member (I think) who has a 1988 Syncro Double Cab (Doka)(?) for sale. He is in Oakville, Ontario. The pictures he sent show a white DC with some mild graphics on the sides, a blue vinyl bed cover, and some sort of hitch on the rear.. Claims to be the second owner with a VW dealership having been the first. Other claims: daily driver, 100K miles, rust-free, original paint, and willing "to deliver upon completion of the sale". Hold on to your wallets, though, he wants $18,000 US dollars!

I don't know this person, never heard of him, and know nothing else about the vehicle. He evidently got my name/address as past President of the Arizona Bus Club and thought I was worth a try and a postage stamp.

If this sounds like something of interest to you, p-mail me and I'll give you the phone number. I don't know if I have permission to post his name/number all over the internet.
