<< Ohhh, good questions. Give it a minute- Chris will give the definitive answer- trust me on this one. Which reminds me, Chris- how about some more Vanagon model year quizzes!

I have an 84 wolfsburg weekender. This is my first bus and the one i know most about! I have a tach, power steering, the full size bed, sunroof the size of Canada, the cool wolfsburg emblem, extra trim beads on the outside, a map reading light above the glove box, bbs rims that match- this was an option my year i understand, and sinvisor mirror and light (or was that standard?). I think that is it. >>

ohh..give me some time, i will think of some :<) btw, i agree w/ you on everything but the "BBS rims, and extra trim beads"?? the first alloy wheels that was ever offered on the vanagon was the Carat style alloy wheel, and that was on the '87 Wolfy pass van. the BBS rims you have are aftermarket. (trust me, i have a '84 dealer brochure on the Wolfsburg models, there were no alloy wheels offered for the vanagon in '84) also, the only extra "trim" the '84 wolfsburg 7 pass vans got were the super cool "jail bars" in the rear window.. another wacky thing the '84-'86 wolfsburg models had was the steering wheel horn button was padded over. ..so you cannot see the VW symbol. why? maybe for all the people who paid $$$ more for the wolfsburg edition package, so when they bang their head on the steering wheel in regret they wont hurt themselves...i dunno..

chris, who has EXACTLY the same model as matthew... a '84 NON-GL vanagon Wolfsburg edition w/ optional factory sunroof (its as huge as Matt describes) which used to have the shreddy blue corduroy Weekender interior ( till front seats went in the dumpster and has since been replaced w/ a carat interior) oh...and it has dealer installed overhead A/C too...(yes, the overhead evap. housing covers the sunroof at the front by about 6" or so) ...which of course, doesnt work :<)
