Todd, I've been following your posts with some amusement. You really are managing to turn up an incredible amount of crap! The rolling "bordello" sure sounds like a winner and warrants a photo, I'm sure someone will post it! For the money you are willing to spend (around $10 I believe?) you should be able to find something pretty decent, but maybe not in the East, where life is hard on a vehicle. There are plenty of good Westies here in the West, and rust free too. You might consider getting a one way ticket to LA or San Francisco and conduct a California buying expedition. Now is the best time, before the travel season begins. You should be able to line up several to look at, and the $700-$800 you will spend (you don't eat much do you? And find a list member to stay with!) would be a good investment that will get you the right Westy. Then you can drive it home! So, what ARE your vacation plans this year?!! I understand your affliction, there is something about owning a British car and a Vanagon that really satisfies an inner need to always be in the garage working on one or the other! -- Stuart MacMillan Manager, Case Program 800-909-8244 ext. 8208 Getting your share of the Net yet? http://cobaltgroup.com http://UsedEquipNet.com |
