Yes the 944 has a 2.5 L 4 cylinder DOHC up front with a transaxle at the back. The interior is in fair condition - the problems are with peeling carpet, steering wheel leather unwrapping, sun visors and clips, passenger window lift, horn switch and no radio. The drivers side rear took a 5 mph hit and run whack, but the side marker light was not broken though the tail light did loose some reflector. Basically, this was my wifes car, and I hate the technologically overendowed POS. She is now driving a Volvo 765 TD, simplicity itself, except for the electric doo-dads which will not keep the diesel from rattling on. The car could be a daily driver if someone so wanted - after checking the radiator and head gasket. I have been driving it for the last few weeks w/o problem. JoE |
