Hi Dave, Mated the motor, and trans. last night, finally. Looks great. Only problem I have is, I'm using and 1986 Syncro trans. witch requires the one year only special short starter, and its bad. I'll be ripping in to the starter soon. Gas here is $1.36/gal. I'm also diligently looking for a used Golf, as my friends just reported 36.5 MPG! Our new (1990) Jetta has to many goodies like auto, air, power everything, to get that kind of milage, but I expect atleast 27 MPG's out of it.
