TWIMC: Here is my experience with JB Weld in a similar situation. The top of the coolant level sensor broke off. I was far from a VW dealer so I JB Welded it. It got home and I forgot about it. About three weeks later it failed, the epoxy had absorbed the coolant and had assumed the consistency of wet angel food cake. Just my 2¢.
