I found this place in the Yellow Pages. I don't believe he's affilliated with the List. It's WagenWerks in Wyndmoor, PA. WWW.Wagenwerks.com. He didn't mention a warranty. Another place in Phila, (they have 30 bays - all they do is replace engines, and they say they've done several Vanagons) - gave me a price of $2495, with a 3 year/60k warranty. I don't know the source of that engine, though. I understand the concept of getting what you pay for, but I am trying to be armed with just enough information to know where paying for quality ends and being taken begins. Thanks, Lauren
