Malcolm, Thanks I took it out & sort of pushed the handle up & it released, & worked fine. Not easy to figure out while installed? I lubed it once about two weeks ago, since I only have it for about a month. Once taken out I lubed it much better with good results. Thanks Again, Greg 86 Westy ----- Original Message ----- From: Malcolm Stebbins To: Greg Sent: Sunday, February 20, 2000 10:45 AM Subject: Re: Pop-Top lock latch
Is it properly greased and oiled??? It uncrews you know, and you can take it out and look at it. It opens fine, but when I pull down to lock it the latch does not lock it just stays in the open position. If this has happened to you or you know a solution I would really appreciate the info it's starting to rain & I would like to secure the top to prevent water from entering? TIA Greg 86 Westy
