Hmmm...


Being brand new to the list, I had never been informed that oil filters
were such a big deal.  This being the case, I have been using Fram and
other generally available filters along with Valvoline 20w-50 oil since I
purchased my '87 Syncro Westy - new.  As I have 142,780 miles on the
original engine, I'm not sure just what horrors a Mann/Makle filter
prevents, but I have yet to be visited by them.
