Hello Todd,

I was just in Charlotte and saw several decent vanagons for sale. Consider looking in Charlotte and the triad as well.

Try Cars.com. It lists the vehicles available through the charlotte observer and other newspapers. I don't know if the triad papers are available online.

There was a supposedly rust free diesel westy for $3000 this weekend in the Charlotte Observer. (I didn't look at it.) Also try traderonline.com. There was an 89 Westy in there that look good but was pricey, around $9000 I believe.

There are plenty of rustfree vanagons in the southeast. You won't have to fly to California and be around all those weirdo's. :) Just don't let the seller know you're foaming at the mouth for a vanagon or they will charge you West Coast prices.
