<< Theres a lot of misinformation being spread here about British cars. Millions of people drive them in Britain with no more problems than with any other type of car. I lived in Britain for 30 years, driving mostly British cars, and had no more trouble with the electrics than I have had here with American cars or my Vanagon. I think people are just trying to inject a bit of humor w/ their opinions at the Brit car's expense. However, some of us have had extensive experience with British cars. I for one have owned more than a half dozen. True I never really had any problems with the Lucas electrics. However, I knew quite a lot of other people of who did. They are superb vehicles when they are in tune. The problem is, they don't stay that way very long. I don't really want to get to much into it since it's not a Vanagon issue. Just throwing out my 2 cents worth.
