Everyone<
Once again the list pulls through.  My '90 Westie didn't want to
start......so I brought it to the gourus (?) of the list.  It just died on me
after my craving for a cup of joe.....none of the lights came of at
first...but after a few tries the bat light, oil , and coolant light would
come of but nothing else.....so left me stranded and cofused..had to get to
work so at parked it at a local store and jump it the following
day.....finally got it home and today after job #1 I brought it in the garage
and switched batteries with its young sister/brother  ('88 gl) and low and
behold it started right up.....dead battery.  I'm not sure how old the
battery is but looks pretty ragged so.....going to buy a new one.  I thought
it was going to be something a bit more complicated as i have had a strange
no starting prob w/my 88 (cleaned the contacts to the fuel pump and voila!!).
I would just like to thank all who participate on the list as it is an
awesome to to help keep mine and everyone who has a vw van/buses/ etc on the
road!!!!!!
