If you find out you need to spend that much money for a new instrument panel, check out http:www.vdona.com for some custom gauge panels. I am considering pulling out my instrument panel (after my subaru transplant) and fill the dash hole with perhaps some nice black stained oak and then mount a cluster of new stand alone gauges. Found these in VW Trends. Just a thought...
