Subject: Bug tune up - No vanagon
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

I have a friend who just bought a bug and she doesn't know how to do any work on it (am I am a bit clueless too). I was hoping that someone could help me out a little bit.

It is a 71 super beetle.

My understanding is that there is no oil filter. Does that mean you just change the oil and hopefully all the crap comes out then?

Points? Are there points to replace? Should she carry a spare set? I am clueless here.

Plugs and wires? Anything special here.

What else should we do? I know this is a load question but: What spare parts should she carry around with her?

Thanks a ton for any help, Blake Salt Lake City 84 Westy
