Pig, chicken and cattle feed lots are NOT products of nature, as are cities. Hell-holes? Sure, but MAN MADE hell-holes. Again, I DO NOT advocate a return to the Horse and Buggy days, only that, if the US population were catagorized and ranked by polution per individual I am quite certain the Amish would be near or at the bottom of the list while we of the Vanagon crowd would be a whole lot closer to the SUV owner catagory than would be comfortable most of us who complain of them. Rather like the person who discusses the drug problem with a drink in his hand, the obese congressman citing the hazards of smoking or the starlet mourning the plight of the homeless while wearing a million dollars in diamonds. The words may be correct but there is still something wrong with this picture.

Just because something is biodegradable doesn't mean it doesn't contain toxins and isn't harmful over a certain quantity. Ever been near a pig, chicken, or cattle feed lot? They aren't garden spots, they are pollution centers and are beginning to be regulated as such. Before the auto, cities were stinking, disease laden hell-holes of horse shit.
