hello all...
just came back an hour ago from our short trip to florida... 6 days of
traveling, 3800 miles ,   8 days of bicycling , kayaking and beach, much
different than 8 feet of snow...   thank you to all that invited us to their
places or help, but finally  we decided to make it a short valentine's
trip...i am now  having a grill cheese and beer in front of the 1608 , yes
yes yes  1608 letters that i had when i opened my '' courrier''... zephyr
our 85 weekender ran great with a brand new head on the left side... it is
amazing how an 85 vanagon can still run as good... but i have to admit that
our auto tranny will have to  be looked at,  monday morning ... the hills of
I-26, 77 , 81, 88 and 87 were hard on it coming back...keep those letters
coming... the price of gas at 1.19  in SC  is still better than 2.96 in
quebec ... but  i am plannig to buy a diesel transporter. convert it into a
camper and run it on used french fried oil...anybody has ideas on this ???
after 11 hours of driving, i will be reading you all tomorrow...
