Subject: Fuel filter/engine code.

I have an '85 Westy. How do I find the engine code referred to in the books? Do I have digifant or digijet?

I bought a new fuel filter to put on, a large silver canister. the Haynes book shows a picture of it fitting aft of the fuel pump. On my van, there is a small plastic square forward of the fuel pump that I assume is the filter. Is this a stock filter? My records show the PO changed the fuel filter some years ago and I thought I would do it now.

To put this one on, I will have to cut and patch the rubber lines and figure some say to attach it to the frame. Correct? Do I need to depressurize the fuel line as the Haynes book says, or will it loose pressure overnight?

TIA, Jim & Herbie, 85 Westy in Atlanta
