Subject: Re: Steering Column bolts again
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

When I replaced my heater fan last summer I used a pair of ignition pliers to remove these bolts. The ignition pliers are a 4" "slip joint" type of pliers that are thin and small and are thus able to reach in tight places where most other pliers can't. I bought a pair of these pliers at Sears many years ago and they have become one of my favorite multi-purpose tools. They can reach into tight areas and grip low profile sufaces like the thin lip around the base of the cone shaped column bolts. It's an awesome tool for those hard to get at places.
