If it is the low pressure hose, no problem.  You can buy a replacement
length of PS hose at your FLAPS. Just make sure you use power steering
hose- water hose will quickly dissolve in the PS fluid.  


The high pressure hose is another story.  Easiest way is to find a good
used one, since new ones are very expensive from VW.  You can have a high

pressure hose made up at a shop, but matching the fittings can be
difficult.  


This same situation applies to the metal power steering lines.  The low
pressure one is thin and usually is the first one to rust through.  It can
be replaced with a length of hose.  The high pressure one is thicker and
rarely rusts through, but when it does finding a replacement becomes a
problem.
