From: Michael J. Sullivan "VW Transporter mit 1,6 Liter, Diesel und Turbodiesel ab 1979." Has anyone ever seen or read this book? What were your impressions?

yup. looking at my copy right now. it's called 'Reparaturanleitung ... Querschnitt durch die Motor-Technik' volumes 799/800/801. large book, 8.5x12 (or whatever the metric equivalent is). it has NO pictures, only drawings and a lot of GERMAN text. no English. :(

there are two other series of books available (besides the Reparatureanleitung) - So wird's gemacht by Delius Klasing (H.R.Etzold series. publisher?) the diesel one is volume 35 (Bus diesel 50-70PS 11/80 bis 12/90) (no turbodiesels, i guess)

- Jetst helfe ich mir selbst by Dieter Korp. the diesel is in volume 111 (Bus benziner ab Oktober 82, Diesel, Turbodiesel)

both these series are smaller 8x10.5 size. both are also only available in German text. :( but both of these have LOTS more pictures, some better than bentley.

joel
