I have to weigh in here--i have a VW (of Canada) factory rebuild 1.9L--70,000 miles, almost four years later now, and it's absolutely flawless. It cost what seemed like a small fortune at the time but I wanted to make sure I had a deserving LOCAL dealer to blame if something went wrong. This was some of the best money I ever spent (if you can actually find one).
