I prefer to use 92 octane in my van, and will pay whatever it costs. However, a post onthe list earlier said that you just need to use a hig enough octane to prevent your engine from knocking at high load. For my van, I do notice the van running a little more harsh when I use 87 octane as opposed to 92 octane. I drive a 90 2.1 with some engine modifications.
