If somebody is going to design and build one of these then how about designing it so you can use it inside a Westy to get to the upper bunk or access the luggage rack from the inside? I think the toughest part would be to design something that would attach to the gutter but not really hang on it but supported on the ground. The same inside, stabilized by some roof height structure but again not really hanging on it.
