I've been chasing my own hesitiation in my '80 vanagon, with Cal. emissions, off and on for the past few months (some of you may recall my earlier posts ). During the process of elimination, I was testing fuel injection and have a question. The Bentley says that in order to check the throttle enrichment switch wiring to connect the ohmeter between the #3 and the #18 connecter on the wiring harness. That's the same as earlier buses. My problem is that there is no connector in the #18 slot (yes, I'm sure its the #18 slot). Every other circuit in the harness was in the exceptable range. Is my book in error for my year and type of van? If so, what is the appropriate test?
