Howdy I just joined this list so please forgive me if these questoins have been asked a lot. First off, I ordered a new fuel filter from the bus depot it said 85-91 metal canister. So, seeing as how I have an '85 Westy I figured that's got to be the one. Well when I looked under the van I found a little plastic box filter. CAN I REPLACE THE PLASTIC BOX WITH THE METAL CANISTER FILTER? Second question: Now this has to be a common question but I want to eliminate the rear end sag of my 1985 Westy. I love this van and have made some modifications so that I can haul sheets of plywood for my cabinetmaking business. But I want better suspension so the rear end doesn't "swim" when I have a load of plywood. Should I go for shocks or springs or? I have found shocks online but not springs. What gives? Thanks a million. Brandt '85 Westy |
