Go figure this one - 91 Wolfie - Driving along 5 am lights on, heater on. First thirty mile same good running van. Then starts to loose power. Barely make it easy hills floored ! Shut off heater. Power resumes. Temp gauge OK. No idiot lights on. Drive another 30 miles, pull into station, turn off ignition. No smell, no nothing. Try to restart - dead battery (new 8 mo ago). Recharge battery starts up OK, runs fine. Now in my driveway awaiting diagnosis. WHat minimum voltage does ignition require. Why no alternator light if not charging , grounds.? It starts hard on cold morning, sometimes no start. . Alternator new with battery in July 99 Thanks 91 Wolfie |
