Hey Jay, If I understood correctly, you have run copper tubing from the engine to another location in the engine compartment. As the engine moves and shakes during operation this copper tubing is continually flexed. IT WILL FAIL FROM WORK HARDENING. You will notice this when your gauge suddenly goes to zero. It would be best to put your sender on the tee at the original sender with whatever fittings are necessary. The best thread sealer to use is Loctite Blue, as it is impervious to oil, and you can disassemble the fittings at a later date if need be. Good Luck.
