I've got rust developing on a small spot on the roof (where a part of my rack rubbed away the paint), by the rear fender (where the seam right around the wheel was ripped slighly open in a small accident and the paint damaged), and in a couple of other tiny spots. 4 months ago the van was totally rust-free and I'd like to do my best to stop it. The basics I know how to do are: 1) sand the rust away 2) use primer 3) repaint. Are there any other special tricks or advise? Special products? I saw a some sort of rust-problem-solver pen-looking thing made by 3M. Gimmick? Naval Jelly? Thanks, Doug Demarest Minneapolis, MN 86 Vanagon "kombi" |
