Temp I is there b/c the mass of air per unit volume changes with temperature, and the AFM only measures volume; while the fuel charge needs to be proportional to the air mass. Later "hot-wire" type *mass* air flow meters measure the air mass directly and I imagine they don't need a temp sender in the air stream. d
