Subject: More vanagons and VW stuff............the saga continues!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Fellow listees,

As most of you are aware, I have spent the past months cleaning up and getting rid of the left-over stuff from my old shop, including some cars and parts that my ex-bitter half let me have back (un)graciously.............I was able to sell a few of my camper vans and a bunch of my parts, and I pretty much used whatever funds this created to mostly pay off my shyster lawyer, and also to put together a few more of my vans that had been so far languishing in storage............. and these I'm now able to offer to you all. When I get rid of these I'll be able to finish the remaining few in the storage lot and be done with paying the rent on the damn place! Those of you who have dealt with me in the past are familiar with my reputation for being a straight-shooter and a gentleman, and I salute all of you who stood by me in my crisis and supported me with your kind thoughts and words, and this means a lot to me. Hopefully, one day, when all this blows over and this will just be an unpleasant memory for me, I hope to start over again and serve the Vanagon community.

I was also able to go through my parts, and I found quite a few jewels amongst them. I did pack a lot of the new VW/Audi parts into big boxes, and I found a ton of useful stuff to fit the Rabbit, Cabriolet, Rabbit pickup, Golf, Jetta, Quantum, Passat, Dasher, Fox, Bug, Bus, Vanagon, Audi 4000/5000 etc. To give you all a clue, I have parking, turn and tail-lights, cables, heater cores, seat belts, interior plastic, exterior moldings and trim, electrical stuff, some wire harnesses, etc. All this stuff is brand new OEM, in VW/Audi packaging for the most part, a lot of it is NOS and hard-to find, and I just would rather somebody with a shop or something similar, dealing in parts or repairs would take the whole lot off my hands as these big boxes are now sitting in the middle of my living room (I had to bring them all home out of the storage unit so's I could inventory them), and I want them gone from here. I have saved a list of the part#s on my computer now, and I'd be more than happy to send it to anybody who is interested in taking the whole lot. I dont want to dicker around with individual parts and pieces here, I'd rather just sell the whole thing, and be done with it. Needless to mention it will be an extremely sweet deal for the right person!

I also found, in my loft, a complete gray plastic driver's side panel from a '91 MV/Carat, with the fold-out dining table and all the hardware that goes behind the panel, great shape, also a whole bunch of the black plastic trays that go between the jump seats and the front seats on MVs and Carats, some of the grey pastic overhead AC ducts for 86-up vans, including the front cross piece that goes inside of the windshield above the sunvisors, good sliding windows, a whole bunch of van front doors, either side, great shape, no rust, some camper stuff like cabinets etc., radiators and AC condensors, good used, diesel blocks, cranks and heads, waterboxer cranks, flywheels, and a whole bunch of other used stuff, too much to list here. I also found a bunch of new German hatch struts, and OEM bumper end caps (black plastic) for the metal bumpers. Please e-mail me with your needs, hopefully I've got it.

Now for the vans................

1. 1983.5 Westy, full camper, that terra-cotta rusty brown color, auto, 100K miles, straight body, no rust, nice interior, has all curtains and screens, I just put in new lifters, brakes, and pop-top seals, good clean van, strong runner, CA car, asking $4,995.

2. 1985 Westy, brown, auto, 120K miles, AC, new paint, brakes, water-pump, very original and clean, has all the screens and curtains intact, even has the much-coveted 5th seat, Viper alarm, runs silky-smooth and strong, CA car, asking $6,300.

3. 1985 Westy, white, 4-spd., AC, 100k miles, new clutch, pop-top rubber and brakes, pretty straight, good runner, asking $5,995.

Also have another brown '85 Westy 4 speed in the works, and that should be it for a while until I can get my head out of my *** and have a normal, half-way decent life again. All my vehicles and parts are located in Orange county, California, about 20 miles S.E. of L.A. Once again I thank everybody for your support.

Sincerely,

Vic Ahmed
