Yes, agree, it's high, even for Seattle. But in talking with the owner, it's just a starting point for negotiating. They would be surprised to sell it for that much. The owner doesn't seem to know a whole lot about Vanagon's, it was her parents van. And obviously she didn't know about our excellent resource.

Wow! $12,000.00!! Just for grins I ran this through Kelly and your neighbor has it priced about $500.00 over what a dealer would charge for one in excellent condition, ie, no minor rust or dings as you said this one had. And of course, this allows for advertising, commisions, warranty, etc., costs which a private seller doesn't have. 'Course, he may still get it. Good luck to him. Jeff
